Robin M Hobbs
Dr Robin Hobbs has recently taken up a joint appointment with the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) and the Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories (MISCL) at Monash University to establish his own laboratory studying the mechanisms of germline stem cell maintenance. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow with Prof Pier Paolo Pandolfi at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he used mouse models to study adult stem cell function, development and cancer. His work elucidated the critical role played by the transcription factor PLZF in maintenance of spermatogonial stem cells of the mouse testis.
