Lachlan M Moldenhauer
Dr Lachlan Moldenhauer received his PhD from the University of Adelaide in 2008, and is currently Senior Research Associate within the Reproductive Immunology Laboratory of Prof. Sarah Robertson at the Robinson Research Institute, The University of Adelaide. His research investigates the mechanisms by which the maternal immune system establishes immune tolerance at the outset of pregnancy to allow for embryo implantation, placentation and fetal development. Specifically, Dr Moldenhauer explores the mechanism by which maternal regulatory T cells are activated during the peri-conception period and how inappropriate priming of the maternal T cell repertoire impacts on fetal development and pathologies of pregnancy.
