Jessica E.M Dunleavy
Dr Jessica Dunleavy obtained her PhD from Monash University in 2018 and is now a research fellow in the Male Infertility and Germ Cell Biology Laboratory of Prof. Moira O’Bryan at the Monash University, School of Biological Sciences. During her PhD she defined the essential functions of the microtubule severing protein KATNAL2 in spermatogenesis and health more broadly. As a research fellow, her research continues to centre around fundamental aspects of cytoskeletal dynamics and their relevance to male fertility, with particular focus on the unique cytoskeletal structures, protein transport pathways and non-canonical tubulins that feature during sperm flagella formation and head shaping.
