Damien Keating The Joint Annual Scientific Meetings of the Endocrine Society of Australia and the Society for Reproductive Biology 2018

Damien Keating

I obtained my PhD at the University of Adelaide in 2003 and undertook post-docs in Hamburg and Melbourne. In was recruited to Flinders University, Adelaide as the BioInnovation SA Research Fellow and have subsequently held an ARC Future Fellowship and a NHMRC Career Development Fellow (Level 2, current). I lead the Molecular and Cellular Physiology Laboratory with a focus on the mechanisms controlling vesicle release and cell signalling, with a recently increased focus on gut endocrine cells. A major translational emphasis of this research is on how such pathways regulate our metabolism in relation to type 2 diabetes and obesity.
